The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) has launched the "Hidden Consumer" campaign to raise awareness about the damages caused by water leaks to home safety, as well as their impact on increasing water consumption. The campaign also highlights the importance of periodic detection and repair of leaks to minimize water wastage. MAEE clarified that the campaign is part of its programs to raise awareness about the impact of leaks and to find appropriate solutions, emphasizing that periodic leak detection and ensuring the absence of leaks in homes contribute to maintaining their safety and reducing water consumption.
MAEE urges homeowners and renters to periodically detect leaks in five key areas prone to household leaks, including the connection between the meter and the ground tank, the float, neck, and body of the ground tank, parts of the upper tank, the descending network, and final usage points. Earlier, MAEE had launched the "Kashf" application for smartphones to provide solutions for detecting water leaks inside homes. The application facilitates connecting users with qualified leak detection service providers accredited by MAEE. It enables users to choose the appropriate service provider to conduct leak detection, provides customers with a report of the detection results, allows them to evaluate their experience with service providers, and continuously monitors the performance of leak detection service providers to improve service quality.
